Hey everybody! Another week, another post - damn I'm good. So... what's happened in the last week...hmmm... so Melissa and I went to Rocktoberfest. The show was NOT headlined by hoobastank oddly enough. It was headlined by some band called the All American Rejects. To which I could only respond... "WTF?" Yea ... so anyway... the opening acts were diffuser and ozomatli (i think I spelled that right) which were pretty good. I think diffuser would sound great on an album rather than in concert and they had sound problems, and ozomatli was just the oppostie. Ozomatli had, i shit you not, ten guys in the band. They had some guy on turntables, sax, trombone, trumpet, guitar, drums, bongos, and a few other guys playing instuments I couldn't even recognize. They had kind of a latin feel for the most part, but high energy all the way. So anyway... Hoobastank played after those guys and they rocked the house like I knew they would. So after they left the stage, Melissa and I left... but not before I bought her a hoobastank t-shirt. ;-) The next day I was in my car and Candy on TK101 was talking about the show and they had a guy on the phone whe was basically reviewing the show and he said pretty much the same stuff I had to say with the exception that he stayed for the All American Rejects and thought they sucked ass. Yay for good decisions.

Friday Mel & I went and saw the re-make of The Texas Chainsaw Massacre! I never saw the original mind you, but this movie kicked ass! It wasn't really scary or anything ... like most 'horror' movies. The Ring, for example, was scary but in no way horific. Texas chainsaw wasn't really scary, but it was horrific as hell. If you don't cringe a little bit during this movie, something's pretty fuckin wrong with you. Anyway, go see it.

I'm glad fall is finally here again. It's my fav. season and it means Halloween is almost here. Man I love halloween, though sadly, I doubt I'll do anything interesting on halloween this year. No word on parties, no word on any rock shows, no word on what the fuck I'll be doing come halloween. I just hope I do something better than last year when I got all decked out as Silent Bob (the same costume I'll be wearing this year as well) and had nothing better to do than loiter at the mall - mallrats style.

Next wednesday there's a show out at USA they're calling "rocktoberfest" which will be headlined by hoobastank. Melissa and I are planning to go, though we still haven't bought our tickets. I really like hoobastank, and I think Melissa just about wore out the hoobastank CD I burned for her a while back. So yea... we're both really looking forward to that.

On the job front, it appears the IS department at providence, where I work, will be outsourced some time in the not-too-distant future. Sometime within 18 months is what I was told. Fear not - I don't believe I'll be losing my job. So far, at least, we're being lead to believe that everyone will have the oportunity to become employed by the company doing the outsourcing, CSC. Never heard of CSC? Me neither... but according to their website, they're a worldwide business with over 90,000 employees that banked 15 bil. in their last fiscal year. Sounds like the kind of company I wouldn't mind working for. It's really too early to be saying this, but it might even be my ticket out of mobile. :-D

Anyway, I need to get back to work now. Thanks for stopping by... more updates to come.
