Well, again, it's been a while since I've made an entry here... not much going on in my life right now... which is enough to make me content since it seems every time something is going on, it's something bad. This is how people end up becoming hermits - or like me, just antisocial. Anyway, I recently changed my hotmail e-mail address. TOO MUCH SPAM!!! My new E-mail is raist_majere@hotmail.com. The name comes from a series of books I've been reading since about the end of August, first of September. Many of you may be familiar with the series. It's called Dragonlance and you can pretty much tell from the name that it's a Fantasy series... ie wizards, warriors, elves, dwarves, etc. The authors of the original 3 book trilogy that apparently started it all back in the mid-80s (chronicles) are Margaret Weis and Tracy Hickman. (and for the last damn time, Tracy Hickman is a guy! Get it right!) Anyway, as I was saying, one of the characters, and perhaps the most interesting, (at least to me) is Raistlin Majere ... and since his brother always calls him "Raist" hence the e-mail address. Since I've been reading, (I'm on my sixth book right now. I've read chronicles, The Soulforge, and I'm halfway through the second book of Legends.) the character of Raistlin has gone from the kid no one liked, to being distrusted by those around him, and has since become the greatest mage who ever lived in the world of Krynn. He feels like Love is something he is incapable of and in fact would only get in the way of his plans. Whether or not this is true, is something I might learn as I continue reading. Either way, I can certainly see where this guy is coming from. I have to confess, before I started reading this series, I NEVER read an entire book. Every book I had ever tried to read put me to sleep within the first chapter. Then, after Eric telling me, "READ THIS SERIES!!!" for the TEN THOUSANDTH TIME, I decided... what the hell... I'll do it. I would recommend this series to anyone as well... it kicks ass, ya can't put it down. Ok, I'm done ranting about Dragonlance, and pretty much done with this entry too. L8r...
