Alright, after some initial problems getting my cable modem installed, it's finally up to speed. They guys that installed it, said the reason it was so slow was because I only had 40 megs of ram, so I went out and bought a 64mb DIMM that fits my motherboard only to find out it won't work. So anyway, I finally decided I was just going to have to get a new motherboard and processor, but in a last ditch effort, I tried some little program I got from hotfiles.com that is supposed to boost modem performance, so I said "what the hell, it couldn't hurt." That bastard is FLYING now. Better than T1, sometimes better than T2. I'm still gonna hang on to that RAM though, so that when I do get a new motherboard, I'll already have RAM to go in it. Anyway, I'm at work right now, bored out of my mind. It's just me and this PC...and the internet for the next six hours....hmm sort of like being at home actually, only this connection is slower...ohh, and I'm getting paid. I love rubbing that shit in. Makes me feel sooo good. I'm bad aren't I. Good thing I don't give a shit. L8r on.
